HireBob.ai, an AI-powered sales and customer service solution for the health and fitness industry, has secured a $20 million investment from a venture capital firm that includes former Google C-suite executives.
The company says the funding will accelerate its agentic AI initiatives.
Alongside the investment, HireBob.ai has rebranded and appointed Terry Woods as CEO of North America. Woods, formerly vice president of sales at Myzone, has also held senior roles at Star Trac and Core Health & Fitness.
HireBob.ai’s tagline—Your next best hire is an AI—highlights the benefits it says it brings to the fitness and wellness sector. Its AI agents can be fully branded to reflect a fitness company’s voice, converting inquiries into memberships, providing motivation and workout guidance and delivering 24/7 support for bookings, questions and member needs—all in a brand’s signature tone and vibe. The company’s website features several case studies, including one from Village Health & Wellness Clubs, a U.K.-based leisure operator.
Consumers are increasingly more comfortable interacting with AI versus human interactions in the early stages of a purchase, according to a recent report from AI provider Conversica. In the exploration phase, the company found that consumers favor AI by more than 21% and that a majority (56.7%) view AI as helpful, and 67.7% say AI accurately understands their needs half the time or more.
