SZA dominates the R&B Streaming Songs chart, replacing one No. 1 hit with another as she claims … [+]
SZA is the queen of R&B in America at the moment. She earned that title years ago, and every time she releases a new tune, it adds to her already hugely impressive list of smashes on Billboard’s rankings dedicated to that one style.
She’s so popular in the R&B space that it’s not unusual for SZA to occupy multiple spots on some of Billboard’s rankings at one time. This frame is especially notable for the singer-songwriter, as she dominates one R&B tally in multiple ways, and even trades one winner for another.
SZA Hits No. 1
SZA is in charge of the R&B Streaming Songs chart this week with “30 for 30,” her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. The single pushes from No. 2 to No. 1.
This is not the first time that “30 for 30” has led the charge on the R&B Streaming Songs list. The tune has spent 11 frames somewhere on Billboard’s ranking of the most-streamed tracks in the R&B genre throughout America. Half of those six periods have been at No. 1.
“30 For 30” Takes Over for “All The Stars”
Last week, not only was SZA still in charge of the R&B Streaming Songs chart, but Lamar was there with her. In the previous period, “All the Stars,” which was fronted by Lamar and also credited to SZA, was back in first place years after it first dominated. Now, it declines slightly to No. 2, giving those artists control over the highest pair of slots on the roster.
SZA’s Three Top Five Hits
SZA fills a trio of spaces inside the top five this week. “Snooze” steps up from No. 6 to No. 4, giving the Grammy winner control over most of the highest spaces on the list this week.
The beloved musician lays claim to more slots on the R&B Streaming Songs chart than any other artist. She fills five out of 15 positions on the ranking as “Good Days” drops from No. 12 to No. 13, while “Kill Bill” reenters at No. 15.
SZA’s Collection of No. 1 Singles
All five of SZA’s current placements on the R&B Streaming Songs tally have already dominated. Throughout her career, she’s collected an incredible 11 No. 1s on this tally and 26 top 10 hits. Only nine tunes of hers that have reached the R&B Streaming Songs roster have failed to crack the top 10.
