WWE Raw advertised a first-time Triple Threat Match between Pete Dunne, Penta and Ludwig Kaiser. Raw also advertised a faceoff between Logan Paul and CM Punk, and a Women’s Intercontinental Championship between Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria.
With rumors of Jade Cargill expected to return sooner than expected, WWE Women’s tag team champions Bianca Belair and Naomi faced Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

CM Punk Faces Off With Logan Paul
Logan Paul called CM Punk’s WWE comeback one of the greatest WWE moments ever, beore Paul alleged that Punk cracked under pressure.
There was no veiled shot at Ryan Nemeth’s lawsuit against AEW and Punk, though CM Punk did call Logan Paul a “Loud mouth kid who says and does incredibly stupid and ignorant things for a reaction and for the shock of it.”
CM Punk called Logan Paul irrelevant in a number of ways, including (incorrectly) telling Paul that nobody would remember him. Paul responded with a stiff slap that caused Punk to bleed from the mouth.

Ludwig Kaiser still uses GUNTHER’s theme. Hasn’t he been wrestling as a singles star long enough to warrant his own theme music? At the same time, I don’t think the world needs another Def Leopard theme song.
Fans chanted “Penta” and “this is awesome” as all three wrestlers worked hard in a first-time ever Triple Threat Match.
Ludwig Kaiser picked up the victory by pinning Pete Dunne after Penta stuck Dunne with a Mexican Destroyer. This keeps his midcard feud against Penta alive. I’m happy that Pete Dunne survived the latest roster cuts, but it appears WWE only keeps him around because they need somebody to lose matches.
Rhea Ripley had a brief face off with Iyo Sky in a Jackie Redmond interview segment.

The New Day Def. LWO
The New Day had been cutting a promo throughout the break, and WWE came back from commercial just in time to see them get lightly booed as they finished up.
The New Day beat LWO by nefarious means when Woods distracted the referee and Kofi raked the eyes of one of the LWO members.
Dragon Lee made the save as New Day beat down the LWO, but the New Day got the better of them.
The New Day vs. LWO Grade: B-
GUNTHER Def. Akira Tozawa
GUNTHER offered up a challenge to Akira Tozawa. GUNTHER bullied Akira into “earning his respect,” and this prompted Tozawa to start hot with strikes on GUNTHER. As the crowd rallied behind a red-hot Tozawa, GUNTHER cut off Tozawa’s offense and mauled him.
Tozawa made another comeback, but was once again cut off by a running dropkick by GUNTHER. A second Powerbomb attempt was countered by a Tozawa rollup as fans went ballistic at the possibility of an upset.
After a Boston Crab, GUNTHER finally stuck Tozawa with a Powerbomb. The WWE world champion played with his food and submitted Tozawa with a hinging rear-naked choke. This was a great match for what it was.
GUNTHER rag-dolled Otis after Otis tried to make the save, bringing out Jey Uso. GUNTHER escaped before Jey could touch him.

Lyra Valkyria Def. Dakota Kai
Dakota Kai hit a dive to the outside before Raw went to break, but poor Dakota tripped on a camera wire. “Nice Job, Stu,” said Michael Cole sarcastically about Camera Man Stu.
Fans really got into this match after a delayed superplex by Valkyria. Fans chanted “holy s—t!”
After Lyra’s win, Ivy Nile took out Dakota Kai and attacked Lyra.

Bron Breakker Def. Dominik Mysterio By DQ
Bron Breakker all but dominated a game of cat-and-mouse against Dominik Mysterio, including a match-opening Spear. Dom was spared yet another pinfall loss when the Judgment Day interfered, forcing a disqualification.
Breakker was the biggest heel last week when he tried to attack AJ Styles from behind. This week, he was a complete babyface, and there was no follow-up with AJ Styles. Weird.
Bron Breakker vs. Dirty Dom Grade: C+
Cody Rhodes Addresses The Rock’s Offer
Fans went absolutely wild for Cody Rhodes in Cincinnati, OH.
Cody discussed his whole family, with big pops for Dusty and Brandi Rhodes. He said he did not want to wrestle on the independent circuit into his sixties like his father. Hopefully he’s able to simply put a fraction of his net worth in a CD and avoid that.
Rhodes was interrupted by Rollins. Rollins questioned why Cody is even considering The Rock’s offer. Cody called out Rhodes for being a hypocrite for (kayfabe) injuring Rhodes after shaking his hand and selling his own soul to The Authority. Rhodes also thanked Rollins for helping him win the WWE Championship, calling Seth the MVP of WrestleMania 40.Fans chanted “MVP.”
Rollins said he wanted to face the Cody Rhodes who came back and beat him at WrestleMania 38. The Cody Rhodes who beat Rollins with one arm inside Hell in a Cell. Rollins ended a very good segment by saying he’s not coming for his soul, he’s coming for his WWE Title.

Morgan And Rodriguez Def. Belair And Naomi
This match started around 7:25 p.m. EST (no pun intended), so this Raw was trending to run long.
Bianca hit Rodriguez with a brutal 450 that ended with a knee to the jaw.
Belair somehow kicked out of a combination Codebreaker by Morgan. A (kayfabe) frustrated Liv was seen on camera saying “get the f—k up!” It was not bleeped out.
This was yet another match to receive “this is awesome” chants from a hot crowd on a Raw that was considerably better than SmackDown.
After a series of nearfall in a brilliant finishing sequence, Naomi was intercepted by Raquel in the middle of a split-legged moonsault. Morgan pinned Naomi for the win.
