The Last Showgirl—the acclaimed drama starring Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis—is new on digital streaming this week.
Rated R, The Last Showgirl earned Anderson Best Actress nominations from the Golden Globes (Motion Picture – Drama), the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. Curtis was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress by the SAG Awards and the BAFTAs.
Directed by Gia Coppola, The Last Showgirl opened for an awards-qualifying run in limited release before expanding to a nationwide release on Jan. 10.
The film stars Anderson as Shelly, a veteran Las Vegas showgirl who feels blindsided when she learns from her boss, Eddie (Dave Bautista) that her once-popular dance show is being closed down after 50 years. If feeling lost about her uncertain future isn’t enough, Shelly is faltering in her attempt to reconnect with her estranged adult daughter, Hannah (Billie Lourd).
Curtis plays Shelly’s best friend, Annette, in The Last Showgirl, a former fellow dancer who is struggling to make ends meet. The Last Showgirl also stars Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song as Jodie and Mary-Anne, a pair of younger dancers in Shelly’s troupe.
Per When to Stream, The Last Showgirl will arrive on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Prime Video confirms the release date and has the film up for pre-order for $14.99, which is also the film’s purchase price.
In addition to Prime Video, The Last Showgirl will be available on several digital platforms including AppleTV and Fandango at Home.
Since digital rentals are typically $5 less than purchase prices, viewers can expect to rent The Last Showgirl for $9.99 for a 48-hour period.
Despite Oscar Snub, Pamela Anderson Says Her Work On ‘The Last Showgirl’ Is ‘The Win’
While Pameal aAnderson has been lauded by the likes of the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards and the BAFTAs for her role in The Last Showgirl, she was snubbed in the Best Actress category for the 2025 Oscars.
Anderson, however, took the snub in stride. She told Elle in an interview hours after missing the cut for the Oscars, “Oh my gosh, it’s not something I ever expected. Doing the work is the win. That’s what I like to do, and I think we can lose sight of that sometimes in this whole crazy awards season, but it’s nice to be recognized, and it’s all a bonus.”
Per The Numbers, The Last Showgirl to date has earned $4.6 million at the domestic box office. The film was not released internationally.
Variety reported that The Last Showgirl had a production budget of less than $2 million before prints and advertising.
Rated R, The Last Showgirl, starrng Pamela Anderson, arrives on PVOD on Tuesday.
