Jithu Ashraf’s Officer On Duty landed on Netflix on March 20 and has already made it to the fifth slot on Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English films this week. It clocked in 5.9 million watch-hours and 2.6 million views on Netflix in just three days on the platform. It also ranked among most-watched films on Netflix in Bangladesh, India and Bahrain for the week.

Directed by Jithu Ashraf, Officer On Duty features Kunchacko Boban, Priyamani, Vishak Nair and Jagadish in important roles. The film focuses on a cop who heads a routine investigation in counterfeit jewelry but needs to take on a larger criminal syndicate in the process. The film received critical acclaim for Boban’s performance and cinematography. However, the writing was widely criticized for being superficial. Officer On Duty hit theatres on February 20 this year and collected more than $6 million at the box office to become the second-highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.

Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency maintained a spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English films for the second week in a row.
